MEMBERSHIP FAQ'S
WHAT DOES A MEMBERSHIP INCLUDE?
An Alumni Gym Facility Membership grants the membership holder access to all Alumni Gym Facilities listed below:
West Gym
Raquetball Courts
Squash Courts
Zimmerman Fitness Center
Karl Michael Pool Complex*
Public Changing Room/Shower
*Designated Open Swim Hours Only
WHAT IF I AM A STUDENT ON TIME AWAY FOR MEDICAL REASONS?
Students on time away for medical reasons can purchase a gym membership at the "Alumni" rate.
I AM A DARTMOUTH EMPLOYEE, ARE THERE DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE FOR MY FAMILY?
Yes! Email athletics.sales@dartmouth.edu with the name and email address of your family member(s). We will then send them step-by-step instructions to purchase a discounted membership.
WHAT IF I ONLY WANT TO UTILIZE THE GYM ON A NON-FREQUENT BASIS?
Day Use Passes are avaialble for purchase via a credit/debit card. No Cash will be accepted.
WHAT IF I ONLY WANT TO USE THE POOL?
To utilize the pool inside of Alumni Gym, you must have a facility membership or an individual day visitor pass.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PURCHASE A MEMBERSHIP?
As of 6/13/2022, the facility memberships can be purchased by faculty, staff, students & community members. There are specific age requirements for facility patrons for the safety of everyone.
Age Restrictions: You have to be at least 16 years of age to use the Zimmerman Fitness Center independently. Anyone under 16 must be accompnaied by an adult (18+) at all times while in fitness center.
HOW LONG DOES A MEMBERSHIP LAST?
A membership lasts for one fiscal year unless otherwise specified.
ARE THERE LOCKERS/SHOWERS AVAILABLE?
There are public changing rooms & showers for Male, Female & Gender Neutral patrons who have a membership but there are no day use lockers. Members can purchase and be assigned a dedicated locker to utilize during their membership period for an additional one-time flat fee in a more secure/private area.
HOW DO I ACCESS THE FACILITY?
All members are required to scan in at the Alumni Gym front desk (entrance of the building) to uitilize the facility. Members entering the Zimmerman Fitness Center will be requried to scan in again to enter that specific area. You must have a Dartmouth ID card to do so. Please visit the Dartmouth Card Office in McNutt Hall to obtain an ID.
